Introducing Our New Intelligence Data Lake

We are excited to announce our latest product upgrade, our new Intelligence Data Lake, which includes monitoring of infostealers. This propels our capabilities in preventing and predicting hacker activity to unprecedented levels, providing next-generation intelligence quickly and at scale.

Before we discuss our new data capability and the benefits it brings for our partners and users, let's first cover what infostealers are, why they pose a continuous threat to businesses and consumers, and how our new data capability is helping to safeguard our users against them.

What are infostealers?

Infostealers are a type of malware designed to extract sensitive information, such as clear text passwords, website cookies, and other data, from compromised PCs and phones. They often cover their tracks to avoid detection. By stealing website cookies, infostealers provide hackers with the ability to bypass two-step or multi-factor authentication technologies.

Infostealer malware has been used in high-profile attacks, such as the MGM data breach in 2023, and is a popular form of malware among hackers.

Infostealers pose a huge threat to both businesses and consumers, mostly due to the sheer amount of sensitive data they can capture, but also due to the fact that they are able to go long without being detected.

What is our new data lake?

Our new data source has enabled us to significantly enhance our data breach prediction capabilities, through the inclusion of infostealer monitoring. With this addition, we are now able to offer our partners and users improved security through more extensive monitoring.

Currently, our database contains approximately 6 million hacked devices, 20 million stolen credentials, 30 million stolen emails and 11 billion stolen website cookies, and it is expected to expand rapidly.

What does this mean for our partners?

Our partners can expect a range of advantages with this feature launch, which will begin rolling out this month. Our new data lake enhances the accuracy of data breach predictions, identifies more cyber risks on more customers and speeds up response time. These capabilities enable partners to add even more value to their customers, program members or policyholders to keep them safe against threats like Business Email Compromise and Ransomware.
