Insurtech Insights Catch up

Our team recently returned from a great time at the Insurtech Insights event, held at the Intercontinental O2 Hotel in London. With an attendance of over 6,000, the event was bustling from start to finish!

Our team left having had many interesting and exciting conversations with connections old and new. We caught up with the sales team, and here are a few key takeaways they flagged from the event:

The Significance of AI

A consistent theme throughout discussions was the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the cyber insurance sector. This was a really hot topic, and we were able to provide a lot of insight on how hackers are using AI, and what this means for cyber insurers. You can read more about Andrew, our CEO’s thoughts on this in our recent article in the Insurance Post.

Emphasising Education

It’s clear that there's a collective push towards educating the market about cyber insurance and risk management, particularly when it comes to SME commercial clients. Insurance Brokers and Underwriters want to relay to their customers the importance of getting a quote for cyber insurance and how it can be of value to their business during a potential loss event.

Beyond Insurance: The Value of Support

Feedback from our conversations highlighted a desire for more than just insurance coverage; there's a noticeable demand for expert advice and support in managing cyber risks. Insurers want to offer their customers more than just a safety net in their policy, and instead are striving to offer their policyholders proactive measures such as helplines and risk management software to help prevent claims.

Our Unique Data Offering

We were encouraged to hear very positive feedback on our dark web data, particularly our new infostealer dataset. This unique offering, capable of identifying compromised login details, clearly sets us apart in the market.

The Cyber Insurance space is in a very exciting place and we’re thrilled to be expanding our reach globally, on our continued mission to protect as many families and businesses as we can from cyber threats.

We’re looking forward to the rest of the conference season, and our next stop will be Insurtech Hartford Symposium. If you’re attending the event and would like to hear more about our cyber risk solutions and how we can help you drive cyber sales, manage loss ratios and enhance customer value, get in touch to book a chat with our US VP of sales, Jade Pethel.
